Hii

Here is the difference Between OH and HO:

HO is a molecule containing positive Hydrogen Oxygen atoms i.e it is a cation. While,
OH is a molecule containing negative Hydrogen Oxygen atoms i.e it is an anion.
Both are ions, HO+ is Hydroxide, OH- is Oxyhydride.
Both are acceptable and the only difference is about the charge on oxygen.
Basically Hydroxide is an alkali, it will dissolve in solution to produce hydroxide ions, and acts as a proton receiver.

Hope this helps
Thanks!!

Hello,

Hydroxyl is a neutral molecule; it's usually called a radical because it has an unpaired electron. When in compounds, OH is called “hydroxide"when it's in a compound with ametal, such as calcium hydroxide or aluminum hydroxide, and called a “hydroxyl group” or “hydroxy group” in organic compounds such as ethanol.

Hope this helps.....
