Question : Read the following statements of Assertion (A) and Reason(R) and choose the correct alternative:

Assertion (A)- Management cannot be called as an exact science.

Reason(R)- Management deals with complex human behaviour,which cannot be determined with accuracy.

Option 1: Both A and R are correct and R is correct explanation
 

Option 2: Both A and R are correct and R is not the correct explanation of A.

Option 3: A is correct and R is wrong.

 

Option 4: R is correct and A is wrong.

Solution : On comparing the features of science with management it can conclude that management cannot be considered a pure or exact science like physics or chemistry but we can call it as inexact science. The main reason for management as an inexact science is that it deals with human beings whose behaviour cannot be accurately predicted. So it is also a behavioural science.

Hence, Option A is correct.
