Hello there,

RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) exams primarily use the CBT (Computer-Based Test) format for most of their recruitment processes, including positions like ALP, Technician, Group D, and NTPC.

Difference Between CBT and NCVT:

  1. CBT (Computer-Based Test) :

    • It refers to the examination method where candidates answer questions on a computer system.

    • RRB exclusively conducts its recruitment exams in CBT format.

  2. NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) :

    • NCVT is a certification body for vocational courses like ITI (Industrial Training Institute).

    • It is not an exam format but an authority responsible for skill training and assessments.

      For RRB Aspirants:

You must prepare for a CBT-based exam and ensure you understand the syllabus, exam pattern, and question types for your specific post. NCVT certification may be considered as an eligibility criterion for technical positions but does not replace CBT for the selection process.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Yes, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) exams are Computer Based Test (CBT) :

The first stage of RRB NTPC exam is CBT. This examination is common for all posts. It consists of three sections: General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.

CBAT is also there in RRB NTPC exam. This exam is for those candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master.

There is also CBT in RRB Group D exam. This exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs).

To succeed in the RRB NTPC exam, candidates must develop theoretical knowledge as well as problem-solving skills and time management techniques. Before the exam, one must solve the previous year RRB NTPC question papers.
