Candidates seeking admission for the academic year 2021-22 can appear for CAT 2021. Candidates who are currently appearing in the final year or passed in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for CAT 2021. You will appear in final year of the qualifying examination next year that is in the academic year 2021-22 and obtain the results next year so you cannot appear for CAT 2021 but you can appear for CAT 2022. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply provisionally.

The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to general category and for SC/ST/PWD it is minimum 45% aggregate marks. The application process for CAT 2021 started today and the last date to apply is September 15, 2021. The exam is scheduled on November 28, 2021. Even if you appear for  CAT 2021 you won't be able to get admission as you will obtain the final year results next year.
