This depends on your target College and whether you have its State domicile or not. For example, if you look at UP, in 2018, under State Quota, 469 marks was the cut offs for General Category and that score was alotted a seat in Dr. Ram Manohar Lphiya Medical College. In 2019, under State Quota, 575 was the cut off and those marks secured a seat in GMC Bahraich. There was an increase of cut offs by 150 marks. Thats a massive increase. So this is how cut offs fluctuate. And for 2020, UP might see more or less atleast 580 as a cut off for General Category. As per your query an safe score for NEET 2020 would be 500+ or around that as your category is general. So if you score somewhere around the score you may have good chances of getting medical seats at the top reputed colleges in India.

To score above 525 is better. Then you may have chance in government college. With 450+, chances are there to get a private college. As it also depends upon the last years cut-off that varies.
