The qualified candidates of UGC NET can apply for lecturer-ship as Assistant Professors in universities and colleges recognized by UGC across India. While candidates qualifying UGC NET for JRF will get a monthly stipend to pursue Ph.D. Existing UGC pay scale for Assistant Professors before the 7 th pay commission on entry level was around Rs. 47,000 and now it has been revised to be around Rs. 60,000.
