The qualified candidates of UGC NET can apply for lecturer-ship as Assistant Professors in universities and colleges recognized by UGC across India. While candidates qualifying UGC NET for JRF will get a monthly stipend to pursue Ph.D. Existing UGC pay scale for Assistant Professors before the 7thpay commission on entry level was around Rs. 47,000 and now it has been revised to be around Rs. 60,000.
