Shall I study bsc nautical science ? Which is the best college in coimbatore to study this course? How much salary I get?

Hello Raheem,

Yeah, you can but I think Merchant navy is slowly turning into the field just like engineering as many are entering in this field but demand is very less. 

I think BSc in nautical science will be a good choice for you because it will give you a direct shot at an officer post. So I think yes it will be ideal for you.

At last, I will conclude by saying that the first salary which you'll receive at earliest will be during your Cadetship onboard that will roughly be around from $250–$500 and as I mention I vary from company to company. Thereafter the hike is exponential when you complete your sea time and clear your written and oral exams and join as a 3rd Mate F.G or Junior Officer. But again it varies company to company but is handsome as compared to your cadetship salary.
