If you get a good job then definitely prefer that and then do masters after you gain some industrial exposure .

If you work in an industry you will get to know about the various specializations so that you can pick up a better choice .

But if you don't get a good job then go for masters so that you get some specialization .

If you are getting good placement then you should go for job and if not then better to give Gate exam. It will give you two benefits like you can either go for M.tech or you can go for PSUs as well.
