Should I prefer College or branch??

Hi,

If you don't have a branch preference, choose college. The better the college, better the facilities. If your ultimate ;aim is getting placed choose the best college.

I will give you one more suggestion(talking purely in terms of engineering)

1.CS is the best branch for placements. You can get the maximum package if you are a CS student. As such I would suggest you to take ECE or electrical at IIT Roorkee because they are also allowed to sit in CS companies placements. You can also think about CS in IIT Guwahati.

2. Mechanical is a tough branch to get in, you would great dedication to get good placements. I have no idea about which companies visit kharagpur but they all require good core subject knowledge.Plus you shuld be good with drawing

The choice is yours, what would you prefer branch or college
