Hello dear aspirant
It's always better to finish off all the attempts and then think about dropping as your performance may be better in August mains. However you have a idea of dropping, so why not wait till August, give your best try and then think of dropping or not. By attempting the August mains you will get to know the pattern, the time complexity, difficulty of the questions, etc. These might help you if you are taking a drop later. So it's always better to attempt an examination even though you are not sure of, just to give it a try.
Hope this helps!!
All the best for your future endeavours
