Yes, you're eligible to get a seat based on your general rank or based on your category rank.If the college that you have applied has cut off rank more that your rank in general category you will get seat if your rank isn't sufficient to fetch a seat in that particular college through general rank then they may consider your category rank to allot you a seat if it's within the specified cut off rank.
