To be eligible in UG Astronomers candidate must have passed in class 12th from any recognized board securing minimum 65%marks in PCM. and candidate should have done B.tech or B.Sc in physics/mathematics.

so if you have not B.tech degree no need to worry you can go with B.Sc.

Dear Aspirant, For UG Astronomers it is not necessary to obtain an IIT degree. If you are good in Mathematics and Physics you can easily excel as an Astronomer.
