Greetings! Every year, IIT takes in only 30 to 40 students from SC/ST Categories who haven't qualified in the JEE Advanced, as part of a preparatory course to make them eligible to fill the reservation seats. The aggregate of all marks should be 8.75 to enter the preparatory course rank list. The number of seats depend on the number of vacancies each year and the number of candidates.
