For appearing in CGPET , the age criteria is that The candidates should not be more than 30 years of age as on July 1, 2020. There are no total number of attempts.
Also there are other eligibility criterias for CGPET. Failing to satisfy any of those criteria will make you not eligible for CGPET.
Also, JEE mains qualified candidates can get direct admission.
