There is no issue in filling general category in the neet exam if you belong to school category. 

You will be just alloted a seat on the basis of general category rank. And you will show to other that you don't need to have a category reservation for getting a medical seat. 

Category reservation should be given economically to the poor students not to on the basis of caste.

No, there is no problem in doing this as General category is supposed to be open for all whether they are SC/ST or OBC candidates or any other category candidates.
But remember that you would not be able to claim for any reservation thereafter and would be treated as a general Category candidate.
And if you are enough confident that you can crack these exams without any reservation so you can do this, and make yourself feel proud.
Go and opt for General category without any doubt.
