Dear Student,

  • You have scored 570 Marks as your NEET Score in NEET 2019 which are considered between moderate and high and you AIR (All India Rank) is just only 16000 and with a category rank of 9000, you are on your way to getting admission in a government college and I am also surprised that why you should ask such question or have such doubt with a score of this magnitude but I Assume that your state has high cutoffs and thus you do not feel much confident about your NEET Score.
  • Therefore you have a good chance to get a Government Seat in a Government Medical College for MBBS and even a great chance in BDS.
  • The Cutoffs mentioned below are from three states which are Punjab, Tamilnadu, and Gujarat.
  • They are mentioned to widen up your view about Government Medical Colleges respectively and also because you have not provided enough information about your area or in which region/state colleges in which you want admission but as far as your question is concerned that you will get a government Medical College or not is simple and short that Yes, you can get admission in Government medical colleges and I assume that you are asking this because your region/state is among the states who have high cutoffs but you do not need to worry as a NEET Score of 570 is highly accepted and admirable as well as a great score to get admission in Government Medical Colleges.

Government Medical College Cutoffs 2018 For UR Candidates:

The details are mentioned as College, AIQ(ALL INDIA QUOTA) and SQ(STATE QUOTA) Cutoff.

  • Government Medical College, Amritsar: 523and 525
  • Government Medical College, Baroda: 564
  • Government  Medical College, Bhavnagar: 565
  • Government Medical College, Patiala: 537 and 439
  • Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh: 638 and 455
  • Gur Gobind Medical College, Faridkot: 518 and 423
  • B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad: 541
  • P.D.U. Medical College, Rajkot: 587
  • M.P.Shah Medical College, Jamnagar: 576
  • Madras Medical College, Chennai: 576
  • Government Medical College, Villupuram: 579
  • Government Medical College, Tirunelveli: 553
  • Stanley Medical College, Chennai: 525
  • Government Medical College, Vellore: 564
  • Coimbatore Medical College, Coimbatore: 578

  • Government Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai: 523
  • Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur: 549
  • Government Dharmapuri Medical College, Dharmapuri: 502

Conclusion:

  • Based on the Cutoffs of the previous year and this year, The NEET SCORE Required to get a Government Medical College for MBBS is at least 500 to 550+ in AIQ(All India Quota) and in all over India, it is 450 to 550+ in SQ(State Quota).
  • You must get a NEET SCORE of at least 450 or above which you have got in order to get admission for a Government seat in Government Medical college in Government quota.
  • You have scored above 450 (570 to be exact) thus you have a good chance for MBBS but you have even a higher/greater chance to get admission in your dream seat in your dream college in BDS as their cutoffs remain relatively low than MBBS.
  • It would have been more helpful if you have mentioned your area or state to determine in which Government Medical college you may get admission.
  • Therefore, remember to always provide enough information to get proper and quick advice or guidance.
  • My final recommendation is for you to apply for both but if you have confidence and you want to be sure then I suggest that you should opt for BDS as it is not always about seeing patients and their teeth, it also has a vast job options after completion of the course and you can become much more than a Dentist and the paycheck is also quite similar and also both degrees are for Doctors but the work hours will also be limited in BDS as compared to MBBS jobs.
  • If your state does not fall under the three mentioned above then you can also mention it and ask it as a separate query as this one seems to be quite lengthy.
  • If you have any query or confusion or doubt or issue or problem about NEET, Admission and verification process and colleges and Cutoffs; you can ask us another question and it will surely get solved and proper guidance will be provided.

I Consider your query has met with its conclusion.

All The Best, Bright Future Awaits!!
