If you belong to states like UP, RAJASTHAN, TAMIL NADU, KARNATKA or any other State which has good reputated NIT then there is no chance for you to get any seat in NIT. 

BUT if you belong to north eastern states like Manipur, Mizoram or West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa then you may get a seat in those respective NITS.
