Hello,

If you will apply in GATE examination as a EWS candidate and if you fail to provide updated ews certificate then you will be considered as a General Category candidate. So, if you are unsure whether you will be able to get you ews certificate updated or not then better apply as General candidate.
One more thing i would like to add is that updating/renewing ews certificate is not very hard task. Follow the simple steps below and you will be able to get it done.

• Get Aadhar card as Id Proof
• Affidavit/Self Declaration
• Land/property documents
• Residential proof/Domicile Certificate
• Passport-sized photograph

Other relevant documents and visit your Tehsil office and submit there and your ews will be renewed.
