Hello Saurabh,

With 4679 you might not be able to get the EEE department in NIT Trichy, as per the previous years' trends. In 2018 the opening and closing rank for state quota students were 3098 and 10303 but for other states students it was 730 and 3474. However you can get this sweet of your choice if you are a resident student, that is, if you have a state quota to claim.

But sir in 2017 the closing rank was 5300.Based on that trend may I get eee branch (other state Gen quota

Yes Saurabh, but the point is everything depends upon this year's cutoff, which is expected to shrink because of the introduction of EWS Category. So on the basis of 2018 you might not get a seat but on the basis of 2017 you might get a seat. Everything is hazy and confusing this year and making proper prediction is tough thanks to EWS Category. But you have scored good and stay hopeful till the cutoffs are out. :-)
