Hey there Vinay, with 55.73 percentile it's highly unlikely for you to end up with a good college via JEE mains/Advanced. Also, 55% in 12th could be another hurdle as many colleges demand a minimum of 60% in 12th boards and NIT and BITS ask for 75% and 80% respectively.
In your case I suggest you go for private colleges if you have given other entrance tests too otherwise if you are determined enough, then take a drop and prepare again. Best of luck
