If you want to get into the IIT , then you must appear for jee advance and you have to give both the papers i.e both paper 1 and paper2.

It is mandatory to appear for bothpapers 1and 2.

Each paper shall be of 3hours consisting of questions from Physics, chemistry and Mathematics and shall be of MCQ formation.

Students have to appear for both and cannot skip any of them.
