If you have not given your JEE Main exam, then there is another state level exam i.e. MHT CET for admission in Engineering college.
B. Tech. Degree is offered in Autonomous institutes only, and these colleges take admissions on the basis of national and state level entrance test such as JEE and MHT CET . Therr are a few private colleges that conduct there own entrance test or direct admission, these are as follows
1. RVCE, Bangalore
2. MIT Manipal
3. Bmsce Bangalore
4.VIT University, Vellore
5.SRM University, Chennai
6.MIT pune

Hello dear

As nearly all the colleges give admission on basis of jee mains ranking ( except some of colleges ) some conduct their own entrance exam( like VITEEE ; BITSAT ;SRM etc. ). And some give admission on basis of 12 th percentage also .

So you should look for those colleges ; which give admission on basis of 12 th percentage otherwise you should take a drop to get a good college.
