Hello.

In case of a university:-

• SVU is a state university so it will receive financial aid from the from the State Govt. where it is located.
• The courses are provided using funds or financial grants from UGC.
• The facilities and maintenance depends on the received funds more and so the fees are less.

In case of self financed:-

• It does not receive any financial aid from the Central Govt. of India or from the State Govt. where it is located.
• The courses do not receive any financial grant or fund from UGC.
• The facilities and maintenance depends on the students who have taken admission in the college so the fees are higher.

Also, both comes under the university category.
