No BCA students aren't allowed to give gate exam aa they do not qualify it's eligibility criteria which says,
students must have completed a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Masters degree in Science in a relevant subject or must be in the final year of the program.
If you want to go for gate you have to first complete your mca.

Sorry to inform you but you are not eligible for GATE. You must have 4 years engineering degree or its equivalent degree or M.Sc.. However, you can go for JAM.
