yes, the 75% criteria is not applied for the 2020 admission process in nits , iits, however there is no surety that in 2021 also the criteria  would apply. so if you think in 2021 you would eligible to get admission in nits or iits in-spite of not having overall all 75% score or not in top 20 percentile, it would quite a risk taking. cause the 75% rules may be back on 2021 admission process. however this year it is a great chance for you to secure a good rank and join nits or qualify for jee advance for iits.

All The NITS have cancelled the eligibility criteria only for 2020 as many boards did not conduct the exams due to pandemic .this may not be extended to 2021
