To get admission into IIT and IISc for M. Sc course the candidate needs to answer IIT-JAM. It is a joint entrance examination for admission into Masters Degree accepted by most colleges.

To get into NIT, candidates need to register for CCMN. The centralised counselling for M.Sc admissions to NITs and CFTIs. Only those candidates who have appear and qualified the JAM will be eligible to apply for CCMN 2019.

Priviate colleges conduct their own entrance exam. Some collges take based on B. Sc marks.
