During the process of making results, the higher percentile score is taken into account.
If you have secured higher percentile score in first paper than your second paper, then your higher percentile score will be considered in rank making process, that is, your first paper score wil be taken into account. If you have greater score in second paper than your first paper's score will not be considered and rank will be based on second paper in which you have secured higher percentile score.
All the above information provided in above paragraph is related with jee mains paper 1 for BE /BTECH courses.
So, your 09 percentile will not be counted in your rank. Your rank will be made on higher percentile score, that is, your rank will be decided on basis of 77 percentile score, and accordingly by your category you will get nit college.
