I looked at previous years statistics, You do stand a chance, but its very much unpredictable. To be honest, logically you must get it, but the counselling process is very unpredictable. Deviation of 1000 rank is not that tough. It happens very often. so keep hoping for the best!

Hi Jeetendra ! You rank is very good in JEE main. You have a high fair chance to get an ECE stream in a good nit or even in a good IIIT. Since you are from mp you can good nits ranging from nit Allahabad to nit Durgapur to nit Rourkela and nit Calicut. You can get ECE in all these colleges at last round except nit Durgapur where you can get it at first. So best of luck to you.

According to the your given rank and home state you have got a preety decent rank and should be getting admisson in any of the NITs. Do apply for JoSAA counselling and since as a preference you want ECE, you will be getting ECE in any of the NITs. All the Best!
