and you are in top 1000 I think you must give your adv first and I think you have a great chance for getting a CSE seat in old IITs too so do not think about IIITH

let you first give you adv exam...

According to 2018 the cutoff marks for CSE is 256 marks in jee mains .

In 2017,it was about 335-268marks.

For this year the cutoff is not yet released.

But you can expect it to be between 250 mark.

The previous year cutoff of IIT-H for CSE was 287 marks in JEE. As you have stated that you secured 968 rank which signifies approximately 265 - 260 marks. So getting CSE branch in III-H will be based on the level of competition and some luck factor(but i'm sure that you will definitely get seat in 2 or 3 round). You can opt for CSE branch as the first priority in the counselling form. And III-H offers Electronics Engineering. You can opt for Electronics Engineering as your second option.
IIIT Hyderabad has released the notification for admission to Single Degree Programmes through JEE (Main) exam. Admissions will be done on the basis of total percentile obtained in JEE (Main) 2019 conducted by NTA.Candidates need to apply for IIIT-H admissions separately after taking the JEE (Main) 2019 exam. The online registrations will start on April 30, 2019.The candidate must have passed or appearing in the Class XII or equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University and secure a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Hi sathwik ! Your rank is too much good to get an admission into IIIT Hyderabad. You can easily get IIIT Hyderabad at 1st or 2nd seat allotment. And yes you will computer science program easily both for dual degree and for 5years. Although the other two branches are much better than cse. So best of luck to you.
