Hello Aspirant,

According to the mentioned percentile your son's SC rank is expected to be in the range of 27000-28000, you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

So on such rank and category he has no chance to get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs until and unless he deserves Home state quota for some NITs which are enlisted below  :-

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala - Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering (42298)
  • National Institute of Technology Sikkim    - Computer Science and Engineering (70646)

If not then I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges or he can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help him in his preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which he can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hello Aspirant,

For 54.75 percentile your general rank should be around 498000, you can also predict your rank from this link

If you are from eastern states, like your home state is in eastern states then there is little chance that you will get lower NIT in lower branches in CSAB round of JOSSA Counselling, yes you will definitely participate in JOSSA counselling because cutoff for SC/ST candidate never jumps from 50.

Best of luck!!
