If you have received the message regarding photo only, then it is mandatory to correct the photo document or any other discrepancies in same. Otherwise, your application will get rejected. Moreover, if you know that you have made mistake in thumb impression as well and there is option to edit that, then you must do so. But if there is no option to change the thumb impression, then no need, just edit the photo.
