Hi Rahul,

Prepatory course is meant for those SC/ST candidates whose rank wasn't good enough for them to take admission into first year of college. So, in these courses, they are taught one year extra(apart from 4 regular B.Tech) years. The IIT Preparatory Course comprises of courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English for two semesters after which the candidates are evaluated.
