Hello Amit,

All of the options are great, but ultimately your choice should depend on what interests you, your potential long-term career goals, and what environment you feel comfortable working and thriving in.

  1. If you are more inclined towards Electronics or Electrical engineering, then I would suggest that IIT Delhi (Electrical or ECE at IIT Dhanbad) is your best option, specifically due to placement metrics, research output and startup culture.
  2. If you are open to Chemical Engineering, both IIT Delhi and IIT Madras are top institutes, with excellent faculty and infrastructure with a very strong Chemical department at IIT Madras.
  3. IIT Delhi has an edge in terms of geographic location and exposure to industry.
  4. IIT Madras has a strong academic ecosystem and encourages a very much collaborative culture.

If you are unsure as to what department/branch to pick prioritize institute and potential for flexibility. IIT Delhi has offered stronger chances for branch change and better opportunities overall.
