ESIC medical colleges are just like other medical colleges. It is under the ministry of labor, Govt of India. There are 6–8 colleges all over India run by ESI.

ESIC stands for Employees State Insurance Corporation. These colleges are centrally governed medical colleges with good infrastructure and bright future. The difference between other govt. medical colleges & Esic medical colleges are:

1. In every ESIC  medical colleges, there is reservation forward of Insured person (who are under Esic scheme)
2. The hospital attached with the college is not open for common public, it is only for an Insured person.

The fees of the college are also like other govt colleges.
