For those who wanna do something similar to pharmacy like dealing with chemicals, but not deal with drugs then keep on reading this. I have done bachelors of pharmacy in India, and now doing major in cosmetics in Farleigh Dickinson university in NJ, USA. They recognize Indias bachelors of pharmacy degree. This course is taken by both males and females. Theres not much that is required by the university to take admission into this course. We mostly learn about formulation of all types of cosmetics from shampoos to deodorants. The future: You can get jobs in any cosmetics company like Johnsons and john sons, P&G, Loreal. The starting salary is also very good. For more information refer to the link. Hope I helped. If any questions feel free to ask.

If you graduated with BS in Pharmacy, there are several jobs being offered to you as a pharmacist. You can be a:

Hospital Pharmacist-wherein you can practice as a compounding, dispensing or even a clinical pharmacist. Compounding pharmacists are the ones who prepare admixtures and solutions for a particular patient. The dispensing pharmacists are the ones who provide medicines according to physicians order (prescription) to outpatients and patients who are cash-basis and lastly clinical pharmacists are the ones who make rounds with the physicians to check the patients charts and monitor the drug therapy plan.

Community Pharmacist-wherein you are not only there in the drugstore to dispense medicines but also provide drug education and patient counselling. Since patients often go to the drugstore first before seeing a physician for symptomatic relief of their ailments, the community pharmacist must also know the special precautions with the use of Over-the-Counter drugs. For example, a patient who is hypertensive must not be given with phenylpropanolamine since ppa is a vasoconstrictor , which may lead to hypertensive crisis. Also the community pharmacist must also know how to manage and monitor stock inventories.

Regulatory Pharmacist-wherein they are the ones who work in Food and Drug Administration. They are the ones who evaluate and regulate the practices and operational policies of a particular drug establishment- it may be a hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, manufacturing company or a drug distributing company. Also some pharmacists are also assigned in laboratories to test the potency and authenticity of drugs in order to monitor and possible avoid publics consumption of counterfeited and fake drugs.

Academe Pharmacist-wherein you can be a Pharmacy professor who can teach different Pharmacy Majors such as General Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Quantitative and Qualitative Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Botany and Plant Chemistry, Microbiology, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Administration, Pharmacy Laws and Jurisprudence and etc. You may practice as an academe pharmacist after you obtained a Masters Degree in Pharmacy (MSPharm).
