Sir,I had secured 85 percentile in jeemain 2019, my Sc rank was 8585.I want to know the best NIT for mechanical branch.

Hii.
Your percentile is bit less and your category rank is bit good.
As per the previous year cutoffs and the fact that you belong from SC category you have a good chance of getting Medium ranked NITs such as NIT Nagpur, NIT Raipur, NIT Bhopal, NIT Rourkela,etc. But you will have to compromise with the branch.
You can get higher branches in the Lower ranked NITs such as NIT Patna, NIT Uttarakhand, NIT Hamirpur, NITs from North-east,etc.
