Admission in MBA programme at Himachal Pradesh Technical University is offered on the basis of an entrance exam called HPU MAT.  HPU Business School conducts HPU MAT each year for admissions to MBA programme at the school and HPU Regional Centre, Dharmashala. Around 120 seats are offered by HPU Business School through the test. HPU MAT 2018 would be an offline (paper-pencil based) test of two-hour duration. The objective type test will be conducted across various centres in Himachal Pradesh. The online application process for HPU MAT 2018 commenced from April 2 and ended on May 15, 2018. It is expected that around 3,000 candidates will appear for the test this year. 

Since the application dates have already surpassed, you can try for admission in HPU in the next academic year. 

After the exam has been conducted and the results and cutoff have been announced, candidates who meet the cutoff criterion will be shortlisted for further rounds of the selection procedure. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The final selection will take place on the basis of factors like performance in HPU MAT, GD, PI, past academic records and profile.

Please check the eligibility for HPU MAT before filling up the application:

• Applicants should have passed Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university or institution with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks.

• For a reserved category such as Scheduled Category and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the minimum percentage is 45.

• Final year graduation students will also be eligible to apply provided they fulfill the eligibility and selection criteria.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 26 years for boys and 28 years for girls for candidates except non-subsidised serving and retired defence personnel. For reserved category candidates, the age limit is 29 years as on July 1, 2018.
