Hi,

It is necessary for every candidate to pay for the hostel fees at the time of admission if and only if he/she opts for taking a hostel in the campus. Because according to the number of students the hostel administration does the maintenence accordingly and provide you with respective hostel rooms. 

So yes you have to give the hostel fees at the time of admission only.
