You haven't mentioned the exam you are enquiring about. But if this is for NEET, your makrs in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are considered for evaluating your Eligibility. English marks are not considered. You should score a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 40% for OBC,SC,ST and 45% for PWD. So if you belong to General Category, then it is 50% and with 40% unfortunately you do not qualify. But if you belong to OBC/SC/ST, with 40% you do qualify for NEET.
