The college does not have much placement opportunities but it is quite good for placements. students of the college are placed in companies like  IBM, Infosys, Fujitsu, Qualcomm, DELL, i2, Bally Technologies, Wipro Technologies, etc... The average salary package in the college for placements is 3lpa.

The college has good facilities like it provides boys hostel, girls hostel facility. and also GYM, library, cafetoria, etc..

companies visit the college and conducts campus placement program and recruits the students who qualifies all the rounds in interview.  SMIT  Berhampur is improving better in terms of placements every year.
