At the UG level, SMS provides BBA, BCA, B.A. (Hons), and B.Com.; at the PG level, MBA, M.Com, and MCA are available.

It is necessary to pass the appropriate entrance tests for the desired academic programme in order to apply for admission to the School of Management Sciences. Candidates must pass the entrance exam administered by the School of Management Sciences, Varanasi, in order to be admitted to UG programmes.

Candidates must pass the UPSEE, CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT to be considered for admission to the M.B.A. programme. To be considered for admission to the M.C.A. programme, interested students must register for the UPSEE exam through the appropriate government portals. Candidates may submit applications both online and offline.

A specialised training and placement cell at SMS Varanasi offers students placement chances. It arranges pre-placement meetings for the students to provide them a chance to speak with business representatives. The cell keeps in continual contact with several reputable businesses and extends invitations for them to visit the school and hire students. The average package provided to students is INR 3.88 LPA, with INR 10 LPA serving as the maximum package.
