Hi aspirant

You will be considered as general candidate if you don't have residential certificate issued by Karnataka government.

It doesn't depend on how many years you have stayed but whether you have valid certificate issued by karnataka state govt.

Thank you for your quick response. If you are talking about Karnataka Domicile Certificate, my kid doesn't have that eligibility since it requires at least six years in Karnataka - so that would make it a general category. A section on 'Documents Required at Counselling' talks about 7 yr clause, where it is confusing. Is that related to reservation category proof?Proof showing parent (s) studied in Karnataka for 7 years (if applicable)Proof showing candidate studied in Karnataka for 7 years including SSLC / 10th or 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent exam (if applicable)
