Since the question was asked months ago, I hope you have got admission in any decent college/University. You can opt to pursue the course Dual Degree M.Sc.-Ph.D. (Biotechnology) program from IIT Bombay. Admission is done on the basis of marks in JAM entrance exam (for M.Sc).

To prepare for JAM exam, I would suggest to first go through the complete syllabus of the exam. Know in details about the exam pattern. To prepare for the exam, student should make the proper time table, study plan and strategy. Keep your concepts clear and have proper Understanding of the topics. With positive approach, hard work, dedication, you can clear any entrance exam. Practising sample papers, previous year papers also help.
