Reading books and novels is a very important part of CAT exam preparation. It not only helps you develop your reading speed to help you with the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension section of the CAT.
If you are not a regular reader, I would suggest that you start with something simple and easy and then move on to books which are slightly harder to read.
