In the syllabus of mppsc and mpsc the history, geography, polity and economics includes national as well as state specific content.

National polity, history, geography etc are definitely same but in state public services exam state information has much weightage. Therefore, in all the subjects one has to prepare state specific content in depth for both the states. Moreover the standard of questions and area of emphasis along with pattern of mains exam also varies in case of these states. It would be recommended that you go through the previous year paper to have a better idea of the type of questions that is asked.
