Hi Anupama,

With your query, I am guessing you are asking if a second drop for JEE Mains is advisable or not. It depends upon other factors too, like your current JEE Mains marks and your performance in other exams like state engineering exams etc. If you are getting good enough marks to get a seat in NIT, I would personally prefer you to choose that seat over that another year drop. Also you have other options like state engineering exams, COMEDK etc which can fetch you really good colleges. Also, you can attempt BITSAT this year which can get you admission in BITS Pilani. So, look for the options available in your hand at present rather than aiming for another drop because you can still get a good seat in a good college. I would suggest you to attend the counselling process of all the exams you had taken(i.e. JEE Mains, VITEEE etc).

Hi aspirant

If you think you can score more than what you are scoring then you can think of it .

There are many students every year with similar situation .Nobody can answer for you .You will have to ask yourself .Think about your potential.

Now come to some important fact:

1.If you don't take drop and join some random college ,you will not get ample opportunities in campus placement and then you will look for off campus .Though off campus are not tough but they are not as easy as campus placement.

2.You will not get good developing environment where you can grow as an individual with extra ordinary skill. You will get no scope to develop you proffessional skill.

These are the reason why it is always advised to do Btech from top reputed colleges.

As you have already taken a drop .Try atleast to get some top private college like BITs Pilani,VIT,SRM,Manipal etc. other wise if there is any top state govt. college you can join that .

If all of these is not possible then you should wait .Don't join any random private college. This will make your life more miserable.

Hope this was helpful.
