I also want to do automobile engineering. As far as I know its all about thermodynamics, metallurgy etc. and confines only about cars.

I prefer doing bachelor with mechanical first and then masters with automobile because India does not have many R&D centres where an automobile engineering can work.

At last you will be left out in any automotive sector not automobile sector.
