There are various types of scholarships given by government of India to encourage young and talented students. One such scholarship is kishore vaigyanik protsahan yojana .
Under this scheme scholarships are offered to 11th and 12 th class science students.  Indian Institute of science,  Bangalore runs the scheme and conduct an all India level aptitude test for students studying basic science .

Under this scheme students are given two different scholarships of 5000 and 7000 rupees per month. Exam is conducted in two phases- first phase consists of an online aptitude test and second phase consist of interview.
