Average age of 23 boys = 16 years

Sum of age of all boys = 23x16 = 368

Number of students = 42

Number of girls = 42-23 = 19

Average age of 19 girls = 13

Sum of age of all girls = 247

Total sum of ages = 368+247 = 615

Average = Sum of ages/ Number of students = 615/42 = 14.64 years
