Correct Answer: 25 years
Solution : Let the present ages of Sudhir and Ashish be 5$x$ and 7$x$ respectively. According to the question: $\frac{5x-12}{7x-12} = \frac{1}{2}$ ⇒$10x–24 = 7x–12$ ⇒ $3x= 12$ ⇒ $x = 4$ Sudhir's present age = 5 × 4 = 20 Sudhir's age after 5 years = 20 + 5 = 25 years Hence, the correct answer is 25 years.
